My story

This animal was rescued as part of our ongoing efforts to support communities affected by the recent Central Texas flooding. With local shelters overwhelmed -- many already at capacity before the storms hit -- we stepped in to help reduce overcrowding. By bringing animals like this one into our program, we helped free up critical space so that pets displaced by floods could be held safely and reunited with their families. "It's time to try defying gravity I think I'll try defying gravity And you can't pull me down." Yes this showstopping song from the musical Wicked is perfect for kitten Galaxy. He's recently learned to jump and is thrilled by his new accomplishment. Galaxy's foster mom gives him a week before she finds him in her shower perched on a shampoo bottle belting out "Welcome To The Jungle." Certainly Galaxy is a cute, playful little guy who enjoys string toys and wrestling with his brother, Crimson. He also luxuriates in cat naps, which his foster calls recalibrating his chaos systems. But this adorable kitten has a gentle, affectionate side as well. He melts when picked up, loves sitting in your lap for long periods and will reward petting with soft purrs and by making biscuits. In fact, social could be Galaxy's middle name because he's so at ease meeting new people. He is untried with children and dogs but his confident, friendly nature makes him a good candidate to live with both.  So if you're looking for a fun, loving, well adjusted kitten, don't just adopt a star, choose a whole Galaxy!
