My story

Honey is a 5-year-old, 75-pound coonhound with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. True to her name, she’s as sweet and gentle as can be — no jumping, just a tail wag and a big ol’ hound smile for everyone she meets! This lovely lady is a social butterfly who adores people and gets along great with other dogs. Whether she’s making new friends or lounging by your side, Honey’s easygoing nature makes her a joy to be around.Like many hounds, Honey has a beautiful singing voice — she just wants to let you know she’s thinking of you! She’ll thrive in a home where she gets lots of love, companionship, and space to stretch those long legs.Honey does have a chicken allergy, so she’s currently on a salmon-based diet and doing great with it. A little food sensitivity doesn’t slow her down one bit!If you’re looking for a loyal, lovable, and low-key companion, Honey might just be your perfect match. Come meet her and see how sweet life can be with a hound by your side.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. The best way to get in touch with us is by email: info@secondchancespca.org. Due to the volume of calls, only the most urgent calls will be returned. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours.
