My story

Meet Onyx • Approx~4 years old • Neutered, vaccinated (UTD) • House and crate (“cubby”) trained • Incredibly gentle — we’ve never heard him bark or growl • LOVES walks and does great on a leash • Gets along well with other dogs What Onyx Needs Due to the trauma he’s endured, Onyx is still very timid and anxious in chaotic settings. He is NOT aggressive AT ALL—just fast movement and loud noises (especially kids running and screaming, balloons etc) make him extremely uneasy. He tolerates my husband but typically avoids him and prefers me. He avoids my kids (8yr and under). Does not know how to fetch or show interest in toys. He will not take treats from my hand. He is such a broken soul. Ideal home: • No small children • Quiet, calm environment • Patient person or family who understands a dog that’s learning to feel safe For more information, www.playk9rescue.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Onyx, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
