Wonton

My story

Wonton was found in a yard and turned in to a rural shelter with crusted-over eyes, almost certainly another victim of the common feline viral rhinotracheitis respiratory infection. She is certainly blind in her left eye, which had already shrunk, and probably will be removed. Her right eye is cloudy, but the eye specialist confirmed that she can see light and shadows! Her foster mom has seen Wonton attack her necklace with laser accuracy in one minute, but then run into a chair leg, the next! She also plays the Cat Fishing game on her foster mom's phone with suprisingly high scores! Other than that, Wonton is a typical kitten who loves to play and snuggle. She is always willing to be held and loved, and is having fun with her foster friend, Dumpling, who also came into rescue with a horrible eye infection. Wonton seems to love calm dogs and always wants to play with her 85 lb canine roomie! EST DOB: 5/18/2025 She will be available for adoption when she is old enough for spay and probably enucleation. Early applications are being accepted now. If the cat is under the age of 1 year old or has heath issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $140 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend, so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary, so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive.
