My story

Walnut is a gentle boy with a heart full of love, waiting patiently for his chance at a forever home. At just one year old, this medium-sized boy was picked up as a stray, and though no one came to claim him, his spirit remains hopeful. Walnut’s sad eyes in the photo tell a story of longing, but those who meet him quickly discover a sweet, affectionate companion who thrives on kindness and attention. He’s calm and docile but truly comes alive when given the chance to stretch his legs outdoors, where fresh air and a little playtime bring out his joyful side. This lovable boy weighs less than 45 pounds and has a natural curiosity about other dogs, so bring yours to the shelter for a meet and greet to see how they get along. Walnut loves treats and affection, and he’s ready to share all the cuddles and fun he has to offer. He just needs the right family to open their hearts and home to him — someone to show him that he’s finally where he belongs.
