A4638862 Meet Oreo , a 12-year-old Labrador Retriever / Queensland Heeler mix with a heart as sweet as her name. This cookie-colored senior sports a soft black-and-white coat, a dainty little chest bib, and the cutest white sockies on her petite feet. Though she’s understandably a bit wary in the shelter, Oreo is still perky and alert, and once she feels safe, her gentle curiosity begins to shine through. She’s scared and shut down in the kennel, but with a soft voice, a kind touch, and a little patience, she’ll bloom into a quietly loyal companion for the rest of her years. Once a beloved family dog, she was left behind when they moved - now she’s waiting for someone to give her the love and stability she deserves. Will you be the one to give Oreo comfort and dignity in her golden years? -12 year old black and white Labrador Retriever / Queensland Heeler mix -49 pound spayed female -may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before she can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 6/14/25 as an owner surrender - Oreo was unfortunately left behind after her family moved away without her -sweet cookie colored senior that truly lives up to her name! -soft black and white coat, with a little bib on her chest and cutie sockies on her little feet -despite her age, perky and alert - a little on guard at the shelter, understandably so, but when she feels safe with you, she settles down and her natural curiosity can finally peek out -a bit scared and shut down in the kennel, so requires a soft touch, gentle voice, and patient heart - give her time to decompress and settle in, and you'll be rewarded with a quiet, steady loyalty -was a family dog until surrendered when they moved without her, leaving her confused and in the lurch - will you be the one to give her comfort, stability, and dignity in her golden years?
