My story

Meet Killeen!Killeen is a darling 11-pound, one-year-old Schnauzer/Poodle mix with a heart full of love and a sweet, gentle personality. He has a healed fracture in his right leg that gives him a slight limp, but he’s still able to walk on a leash and use all four legs to run and play, it just slows him down a bit.He warms up quickly and has gotten along wonderfully with all members of his foster family, including the resident dogs. He stays in a crate when left alone and sleeps comfortably in a small pen in the master bedroom at night. Killeen is healthy, eats well, and is content with a lower energy lifestyle, though he enjoys bursts of playtime and backyard zoomies with his canine companions.Potty training is still a work in progress. He uses pee pads in the house but may have occasional accidents, so he currently wears a belly band when roaming freely indoors. He shows no destructive behaviors and is learning the ropes with patience and structure. Killeen is also a little escape artist he can slip through an iron fence, so a wooden fence is ideal for his forever home.This sweet boy even knows how to swim and safely get out of a pool. With a little continued training on leash walking and house manners, Killeen will make a loyal, loving companion.
