My story

Cosmo was found in a field with his sister, Wanda, and brought to FMAR where they began their journey to a better life. During their time in foster, it became clear these two are deeply bonded—not in a cuddly, always-together way, but in a quiet, reassuring way. They don’t need to be on top of each other, they just need to know the other is near. When separated, both became withdrawn, even refusing food. That’s why we’re asking that they be adopted as a pair.Cosmo is the more reserved sibling. It took about two weeks in foster before he stopped running to hide whenever someone entered the room. These days, he’s perfectly content to quietly observe the world around him. While he’s still shy, he’s made incredible progress and continues to grow more confident—especially with his sister Wanda by his side. He’s very comfortable around other cats and dogs and would thrive in a calm, patient home—whether it’s just him and Wanda or shared with other respectful pets. With time and gentle encouragement, Cosmo will show you his sweet, thoughtful nature.Adopting Cosmo and Wanda means gaining not just one but two deeply bonded companions who will blossom with love and care.FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cosmo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
