Atom A17619445 lb. neutered male, approx 1 year old -Everything seems newer to him and he cautiously explores everything-Human affection seems newer too-Takes time to warm up but when he does he enjoys being close for pets-Then he decided he liked attention and curled up in my lap-He’s curious of toys and chases them but has no idea what to do with them afterwards-He likes treats and takes them gently. Working on “sit”.-He’s very sweet and gentle-Gives a few kisses-Is playful once he’s comfortable-He finally relaxed enough to roll over playfully and give me his belly-Good boy who needs time and patience-Walks nicely on leash-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Atom, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
