Frida was found as a stray in Riverside, CA. Despite numerous posts and other contacts, no one came forward for her. Frida is a Jack Russel Terrier mix. The “mix” gives her a broader forehead and funny ears, but she has all the exuberant non-stop energy of a Jack Russel. She loves wrestle-mania and tug-of-war with her foster brothers and sisters, both smaller and same-sized, and doesn’t seem to care who wins. There is never any aggression. Frida is a jumper and can easily go 3 feet vertical from a standstill, but for the most part, she is respectful about jumping in or out of enclosures. Frida walks well on a leash, and likes to ride in the car. She is affectionate and snugly. Her favorite hang-out is the top of a pile of beds her foster mom has stored in the garage – like the fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea!” However, while she may think she’s a princess, Frida sleeps quietly through the night. Her house training is reliable if she has access to a dog door and a secure yard. Frida loves her food, so care will be needed to keep her svelte figure and so she doesn’t scoop up another dogs’ food! Frida would do best in a household with a similarly energetic dog, or with people who will get her out on a daily basis for a long walk or run! She will need to be taught the rules of the house with a firm hand! Frida’s vaccines are up-to-date. She’s neutered and microchipped. If you are interested in Frida, please contact Jean at 714-803-0154 or email jshill828@gmail.com . An adoption application and home check are required.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Frida/Courtesy post, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
