My story

Meet Barnaby, the Barnacle 🐾 10.5 lb bundle of love with long legs and an even longer list of lovable traits! Barnaby’s story began with a rough start—he was found abandoned tied to a tree—but that hasn’t dulled his spirit one bit. This young pup has a tiny old man face and a heart full of love. Despite his lanky frame, Barnaby is a true lap dog. He’ll happily fold up those long legs and curl right into your arms. He’s crate trained (with a few minutes of initial protest), sleeps through the night, and is potty trained like a champ. No begging at the dinner table and doesn’t shed...the perfect little houseguest! He’s curious about the world but more curious about you. Whether he’s playing with his toys (for hours), staring out the window like a philosopher, or following you from room to room, he just wants to be part of your life. Barnaby’s currently learning his puppy commands—he’s got “sit” down and is working on “stay.” He’s a quick learner who wants to please, and he thrives with encouragement and love. Ideal Home: Barnaby would do best in a home where someone is around —perhaps a remote worker or someone with a flexible schedule, although this dynamic could change once he is older and can be trusted alone out of his crate. He’s still a puppy of course, so time & training is needed. He would do well with someone active. With proper training and structure, he’s likely to grow into a fantastic hiking or outdoor companion. He’s a bit shy around new people but warms up quickly, especially when patience and love are involved. Right now, he’d do best as the only pet in the home, but that could change with proper socialization. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, loving little shadow who will stick to you like a barnacle (in the best way), Barnaby might just be your perfect match. 🐶💕 Barnaby is a male Affenpinscher mix with an estimated date of birth of 10/15/24.
