My story

Tater is a 2-year-old male brown tabby with a no-nonsense attitude and a strong work ethic. As a dedicated working cat, he thrives in outdoor or barn environments where he can put his natural hunting instincts to good use. With his keen eyes and alert posture, Tater takes his job seriously—patrolling his territory daily and keeping rodent populations in check. His rugged good looks and confident strut make it clear: he’s not just a pretty face; he’s a professional.Though independent and focused on his duties, Tater appreciates a quiet moment with people he trusts. He may not be a lap cat, but he’s loyal in his own way, often choosing to hang nearby while keeping a watchful eye on things. Tater would do best in a setting where he can roam, hunt, and contribute as part of a team—whether it`s a farm, stable, or warehouse. With Tater on the job, you can count on a hardworking companion who`s always on the lookout.ADOPTION PACKAGE:Thank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Each cat adoption fee of $50 includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, ear tip, rabies vaccine and tag (age 3 months and up), deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative, testing for feline AIDS, leukemia, and heartworms, a free starter bag of Hills Science Diet, and coupons from area businesses.Please make sure you review the following as part of the adoption process:· Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.· A current government-issued photo ID (no student IDs) - such as a driver`s license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.· Have a Meet and Greet with the animal and our adoption coordinator (These can be a virtual Meet and Greet session due to COVID-19)· Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier with them when picking up their new pet.· The Haven accepts cash, check, debit/credit card, or money order.* For adopters of cats and dogs aged 6 months or less, or those with a medical condition preventing immediate spaying or neutering, The Haven requires a signed Spay/Neuter (S/N) Agreement and a $100 cash deposit, refundable upon completion of the spay/neuter procedure.
