My story

GainesMale/Neutered Bully/Pit MixApprox. 2-3 years old60 lbs Potty Trained Crate Trained Leash Trained Quiet Kid Friendly  Dog FriendlyTreat Motivated The only thing bigger than Gaines's chest, is his incredible heart!   He's ready to find his forever home after spending a staggering 426 long days in an Alabama shelter.  Although Gaines may wear the scars of his past his spirit is pure love and forgiveness.   He adores his humans more than anything and dreams of being the center of his family's world.   Gaines is what we lovingly call a "bumper".   He's hilariously funny playing with other dogs but his humans will need to be sturdy too so no small children for Gaines or they may topple over.  During his time in foster care, Gaines has been undergoing basic dog obedience and working on impulse control.  The transition from long time shelter dog with no structure to a family dog with manners is nothing short of miraculous.  Gaines enjoys morning walks, long naps and-most importantly-snuggling!   Hands down, the best cuddle buddy if you can tolerate 10 minutes of kisses first .  Another amazing perk?  He's perfect in a crate and you may indeed forget that he's in there! Foster moms favorite thing about Gaines: Besides his loving nature, Gaines bears a striking resemblance to the Looney Tunes Tasmanian Devil-adorable, unique and full of personality!  If you are interested in Gaines, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved. ##2360241##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gaines, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
