My story

Meet Sammy!Sammy is a 4 year old Aussiedoodle. He is on the shorter side! He has crystal blue eyes! He is a little timid with strangers at first, but once he knows you, he is ready to go! He made his way to the shelter due to needing a more active lifestyle. Being an Aussiedoodle, he needs to be exercised - physically and mentally. He can live with other dogs and kids 6+, due to comfort. He tested well with cats at the shelter; but he may display herding tendencies in the home. He also showed dominance by being a huge fan of mounting other dogs and the cat. ??????? This is a behavior that will need to be worked on.** Sammy is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and heartworm/lyme tested. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **PA Kennel License #1333.
