My story

We are happy to introduce you to our girl Winter. But unlike our northeast winters, this winter is warm, gentle, and delightful. Winter is a 6-month-old mixed breed, she weighs around 36 pounds. Her adult weight is a guess, but our best estimate is that she will be a large dog of over 60 pounds when fully grown. Of course that is just a guess, but what we do not need to guess is that she is full of love with a sweet and gentle nature. She has a beautiful white coat and an absolutely sweet face. If you are looking for a great family dog, look no further. Winter is very active and loves playing to work off her medium energy level. Playing fetch in the backyard, going on long walks and hikes, taking her on adventures in the car and of course just snuggling on the couch with her forever family is just what she is looking forward too. She does well with other dogs, children and adults. She has not been introduced to cats since coming into rescue. She is working hard on her skill set and has already reach pro status on her leash manners. She will enjoy opportunities to walk in the neighborhood or take a brisk walk at the local park. Anywhere she goes, she will be a dream on the leash. Winter is currently working on her house and crate training. Like any new member of the family, Winter will need a commitment from her family to help her with her training. With the structure and commitment that is given to her, she will be such a delightful addition to your family. Winter is looking for her forever home to show you all the love she has to give. She just wants a loving home to start creating years of fun memories.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Winter is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.July 17, 2025, 7:39 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Winter, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
