My story

Meet FlufferNutter! This sweet boy came to BARCS after being hit by a car, but thanks to medical care and a lot of love, he is now ready to find his forever family. FlufferNutter is as resilient as he is adorable. He’s a sweet, goofy lovebug that is overflowing with puppy charm! This little snuggler recently had a back leg amputated, but don’t tell him that — he hasn’t noticed! Fluffernutter is a wiggly, joyful pup who’s always ready to make new friends, give kisses, and climb right into your lap for some love.Fluffernutter is highly treat motivated (hello, training potential!) but honestly, he wants your attention just as much as the snacks. He already knows “sit,” and he’s eager to learn more, especially if cuddles are involved. With his happy, can-do attitude and boundless affection, Fluffernutter is proof that nothing can slow down a dog who just loves love. Fluffernutter also appears to be housebroken.He does best with gentle dog friends and will need to meet any potential doggie roommates to make sure it’s a good match.I`m a VIP because I`m still learning, and the shelter can be a tough place for dogs like me to shine. But I’ve got a whole team cheering me on!Here are a few things the staff and volunteers are helping me with: • Practicing calm behavior when seeing things on walks that excite or scare me • Learning to make the right dog friends at the right pace • Practicing calm behavior behind fences and gates • Learning that the world isn`t so scaryIf you`re patient and open-hearted, I could be your best friend. I`m available for either adoption or foster—both will help me tremendously! When you visit, a staff member can walk you through what’s been working for me and how you can keep the progress going at home.
