My story

Meet Barbie, a smiley girl with a playful spirit, a heart full of curiosity, and a short little stub tail that wiggles with joy. Rescued from a life of breeding, Barbie is learning how wonderful life can be outside of a kennel -- and she’s made it clear she wants nothing to do with going back in one! Barbie is a fun mix of spunky and sweet: she loves to explore the yard, play with her canine friends, and then settle down for a peaceful nap or a quiet moment watching the world go by. She’s been great with dogs of all sizes --living with three big dogs in her foster home and attending meet-and-greets like a social pro. Though she hasn’t been extensively tested with children, she’s responded well to school-age kids she’s met and seems comfortable in a busy, sometimes loud household. Barbie is progressing well with potty training, though she still has occasional pee accidents and prefers when her person accompanies her outside -- she especially loves using the patio. She’s not leash-trained yet, so a fenced yard is a must. Barbie thrives on companionship and is beginning to show signs of separation anxiety, making her a perfect match for someone who’s home more often than not. With her soft eyes, playful bounce, and growing confidence, Barbie is ready to leave her past behind and become the joyful, loving companion she was always meant to be. Barbie is a Havanese who was was born approximately 6-10-21 and weighs 11.5 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention. She also had a dental procedure to polish up her teeth. Adoption fee is $600 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. All information regarding adoption policies are on our website***

If you have any questions or would like to adopt BARBIE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
