I spy a baby! And you might spy that I Spy Baby has no eyeballs, and you would be correct. I Spy came to APA! with a severe eye infection that caused his little eyeballs to rupture. That might make some kittens cautious, but not I Spy! He is a super social baby, and will run to the door when he hears you arrive. And he is good with gentle kids and loves-loves-loves the resident cats and dogs in his foster home! I Spy has a big purr, a big cuddle drive, and is a big sweetheart! He’s ready to snuggle with you! Big Time! Blind cats are amazing. They learn to navigate their environment using their superpower hearing and memory, and I Spy is no exception! He hasn’t ever had good vision, really, so this is normal for him. He is sooooo smart and quickly “maps out” a room, remembering where things are. He climbs the cat scratcher, plays with toys, and uses the litterbox perfectly. You might sometimes forget that he is blind! Simply show I Spy where things are, or when you move them, or when you bring something new in the house, and he will quickly remember and adapt. Soon, he will be walking around the house like a cat with perfect vision. See more about him on Instagram! @jennys_atx_fosters I Spy is blind, but don't consider that a disability - he certainly doesn’t! Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet with this spunky and loving brown and white tabby boy! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet I Spy Baby, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org
If you have any questions or would like to adopt I Spy Baby 13, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
