My story

Garbanzo is a happy-go-lucky 3-year-old who came to us as a stray but is clearly no stranger to love and affection. This treat-loving charmer is full of personality and tail wags. Whether he`s leaning in for some scratches or just flashing his goofy grin, Garbanzo radiates joy. He’s a classic “people dog” who thrives on attention and companionship, and he’s always ready to make new friends. Garbanzo is still in the prime of his young adult years, with just the right balance of playful energy and cuddle potential. He’d love an active home where he can go on walks, play in the yard, and soak up all the belly rubs he can get.Garbanzo was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and this is what they had to say, `Garbanzo was so excited for our adventure! He loves pets, and rolling on his back. He loved the cheeseburger from Dairy Queen! He likes to walk and get some sniffs in, but he mostly wanted to be with people. We spent time relaxing in my air conditioned garage looking out on a pond in our neighborhood. We also walked a bit around Raintree Lake and he walked right into the water about ankle deep. Garbanzo showed no fear and has an open, goofy personality. He`s curious but mostly just wanted to be by me getting petted!`If you`re looking for a loyal sidekick who’s equal parts silly and sweet, Garbanzo is your guy. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
