Meet Maura – A Loving Mama Ready for a Home of Her Own Maura’s journey to the Gateway Area Humane Society began in November 2022, when she arrived heavily pregnant and in need of a safe place to land. Just one day later, she gave birth to a beautiful litter of puppies—each of whom has since found a loving forever home. Now, after patiently watching her babies leave one by one, it’s Maura’s turn to be chosen. This sweet, resilient girl has given so much, and she’s ready to be the one receiving love, comfort, and a family of her own. Maura is gentle, loyal, and always ready for a walk, a cuddle, or a quiet moment by your side. She’s been waiting for a long time—but she hasn’t given up hope. Could you be the one to finally give Maura the home she’s been dreaming of?
