My story

Geraldo is in need of a foster home while he awaits further medical treatment. Foster Reason: Heartworm positive, Dental disease & mild pyoderma (Dorsal back) Foster Time Frame: 2+ WeeksFoster time frame could be shorter or longer depending on future medical results and needs. Foster Care Plan: Geraldo has mild normal ear exudate with no signs of infection, significant dental disease. There is mild pyoderma on the back, age-related hair loss at the elbows and hocks, and a skin tag on the lower eyelid. The care plan includes doxycycline for heartworm and pyoderma, medicated baths, and scheduling a dental with extractions and a recheck for the eyelid. He will have a medical consult upon pickup and the Operation Kindness Foster Team will supply all items necessary for a successful foster journey. Foster to Adopt Program: Geraldo is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption.
