My story

Hello! My name is Mr. Gopher!I may take a moment to warm up to new people but once I feel safe, I will curl up in your lap and paw at your hand when you stop petting me. I can be nervous at times and am currently working on building my confidence when walking through doorways, those things can be scary! I also bark at new people and new dogs. I am looking for a patient, gentle home that has some warm laps and big hearts!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: I would do best in an adult-only home. I don’t have much experience with kids and can be timid.OTHER DOGS: Potentially, with another small dog. But know, I don’t seem to play with my current dog friends and I don’t like sharing my human lap with them.CATS: Yes.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would do best with someone who has experience with small breeds or timid dogs.FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessary.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any where barking won`t be a problem. SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.
