My story

Meet Clyde, a 3 year old Red Heeler/Catahoula/Australian Cattle dog, fixed male. Clyde loves to play fetch with one of his many balls or play catch with his stuffed animals inside. He is sweet, loving and does great on long walks. He loves to supervise my yard work as well as my house work. Such a good helper. Clyde's spots are also found on his tongue. Big black spotted tongue, so cute. Clyde and my 7 yr old grandson wear each other out playing! He is UTD on all shots and heartworm prevention. I rescued Clyde at age 1 from a family who could not take dogs when they moved. Clyde's energy level is high a few times a day. After breakfast, he wants to play fetch before his morning nap. He does best when he has regular walks to relieve some energy. We play fetch a few times a day and take walks often. He is a very protective dog of his family. Clyde has never lived with cats so no experience there. I have another dog and occasionally, Clyde turns that excitement on her. I feel Clyde would thrive in a single dog home, giving you all his attention, so no fur siblings please. Clyde is crate trained, though I rarely use it. All I have to say is 'kennel' and he walks right in. He is house trained. I have a dog door he uses all day. He loves long walks but can pull hard. I use a spike collar that he responds to well. Clyde knows lots of commands, kennel, sit, no, down, come, closer (when retrieving a ball) and many more. He is so smart and loves to be involved with you in everything. He would do best in a single dog home where he can shower you with unconditional love. Clyde needs space, ideally a yard. Apartment living would not be ideal for this big guy. I am rehoming Clyde for 2 reasons. 1) he does not play well with my other dog 2) huge unexpected debt forces me to rent part of my small home gates and renters do not mix. Clyde is a loving, sweet, fun and energetic cattle dog just waiting for his new furever home!
