Buck-O

My story

Meet Buck-O! Buck-O arrived at the San Diego Humane Society as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up to become Frosted Face on July 3rd. He is about 13 years old and weighs 25 lbs. Buck-O had his painful left eye removed the day before we exited him from the shelter, so it was great timing when previous Frosted Faces adopters took him home for a two-week Fling to allow him some much-needed rest & relaxation. Buck-O blossomed so much during his Fling that it has become his Foster home until he is adopted! His Foster Mom shares: Once Buck-O recovered from his eye surgery, he really came out of his shell. He mapped the house in three days and followed us from room to room. Buck-O knows his name and responds well to voice cues, especially when navigating the house. He loves staying near his people, and as he rotates between all seven dog beds in our home, will often drag one closer to us. He also comfortably shares close quarters with our other dogs. Buck-O loves exploring and walks all over the house and yard with his tail wagging. He enjoys lounging on our patio and going for short walks. We have not heard him bark even once! Buck-O is fine being left alone, always choosing a bed to nap in. No anxiety, no destruction, and no need for crating. When we return, he greets us with a big tail wag and a nudge for pets. Buck-O likes affection and will happily snuggle with us on the couch for 15-30 minutes. He sleeps through the night by our bed.
