My story

Meet Pee-Wee: The Sweetest Senior Gentleman Looking for a Forever Home! At 30lbs sweet senior Pee-Wee came into the shelter at the end of 2024 where the shelter found a microchip. This meant he had a possible owner out there looking for him, but after weeks of waiting nobody came to claim him. Upon seeing his gentle demeanor and sociability with other dogs in play groups, Pee-Wee quickly won over the hearts of our team at Dog Coalition LA. We paired him with a wonderful foster home and he left the shelter in January of 2025. In foster care, Pee-Wee is the epitome of low-maintenance. All he needs is a comfy dog bed, a little sunshine, and a quiet space to call his own. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows his basic commands. Pee-Wee never barks, making him an ideal companion for apartment living, though he’d also love to relax in a sunny backyard. Pee-Wee is friendly, curious, and sociable with other dogs. His ideal home could include a canine companion but we also think he’d be content as an only dog. What You Should Know About Pee-Wee: -30lbs of pure joy, ready to shower his new family with love. -Quiet, calm, and friendly. His friends think he’s about 9 years young. Don’t be fooled by his adorable grey snout, Pee-Wee still has plenty of pep in his step and is always up for a stroll with his favorite person. -A great travel or office buddy. Pee-Wee is relaxed and quiet in the car, and also content to curl up quietly at your feet all day long while you work. To meet PeeWee, please fill out an adoption form on dogcoalitionla.org/adopt and follow @dogcoaltionla for updates!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pee-Wee, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
