Flash is currently in foster care and ready for adoption! Learn more about her time in foster care here: https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:8f3bde4e-257c-4a5a-8961-9f17eb2c172d Flash is a 15lb mixed-breed female who recently came into our care after being rescued from a severe hoarding case in Brooklyn. Despite her past, Flash is full of potential. One of nine dogs we took in, she’s part of a group we’ve lovingly named after superheroes—because that’s exactly what they are. Flash is more familiar with the company of other dogs than humans, and she truly comes alive around her canine friends—so she’d do best in a home with another confident dog to help guide her. That said, she’s learning quickly that people can be kind, and she’s eager to make new human connections. With the right dedicated human by her side, no other dog may be necessary! Touch already seems to be her love language—she enjoys gentle affection from people already and is learning to trust more every day. With time, patience, and plenty of love, The Flash is ready to start her next chapter. She has so much to give—and she’s just waiting for the right person (or people) to give it to. Notes from her foster include "It’s still only been 5 days but already she’s made major progress with bathroom training, mastered her fear of the elevator and started sharing beds with my dog, winning over both of our hearts. She is so intelligent and sweet, though understandably a bit anxious still, I’m so proud of the fast progress she’s made and know she will thrive in the right loving patient home. On her second night staying with me she seemed to discover the wonder of tummy rubs, and since she loves to roll around and lay with her stomach in the air and beg for them!". The Flash is eager to please and has been progressing in foster and learning quickly. The Flash is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and had preventative treatments to ensure she is ready for her new home. Submit an adoption survey from above and our team will reach out via email (check spam) to schedule a counseling call. For any additional questions, please contact fosternyc@bestfriends.org. Please remember, pets cannot be held or reserved.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt The Flash, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
