My story

DOB 18-Sept-2024 Belle is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved. Belle is a little black cat with a few white whiskers and a secret white bikini! When she plays, her white whiskers point down making her look like a walrus. She loves attention and stands up to paw at you when she wants attention and treats. She has a cute alto meow that she’s learning to use more and more. She will not ask for your permission to jump into your chair to snuggle, and is a very aggressive cuddler. If she could snuggle her way into your body, she probably would. She loves to knead on your stomach or legs and is a very hard worker, making many biscuits. She’s super adventurous and will rush the door when you come home to try and escape. Her foster home is a condo, so she only ends up in the hallway but she’s quite fast. She’ll also try to get into places she shouldn’t, like the laundry closet, dishwasher, refrigerator, etc. She’s very fast so you’ll need to be faster. She loves chewing on cardboard boxes and paper bags, leaving bits of cardboard lying around every day. She also likes to try cables and wires, so they will need to be covered or coated in something that tastes bad. She LOVES treats. She’s Beauty until the Churu comes out, and then she transforms into the Beast! She will chomp onto the tube and try and drag it away! And with other treats she’s so excited to eat them that you need to watch your fingers. She knows the command “sit” and knows she should be sitting down before food is placed in front of her. She is learning “shake” but may need the training to be finished post-adoption. As most kittens, she tries to get out of doing things you want so if you want her to keep sitting for meals, you will need to be firm in saying “sit”. Belle is a brave, headstrong, cuddly girl who loves everyone! She would be thrilled to be adopted with Celine or Krokmo- or both if you’re interested in your own little clowder! Or to a home with a friendly feline.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Belle, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
