Cardi (IN FOSTER)

My story

Cardi is in foster! Some insights from her foster parent:`Her inside manners are perfect. She doesn’t beg for human food. I can put my plate down and she won’t go near it. Doesn’t go into trash, toilets, jump on beds. She wants to get on the couch but that’s a no in our house so she’s happy on a blanket wherever we are. She asks to go outside.`---------------------------------`End of Week 1: We are still working on leash training. We can successfully walk around the yard without pulling, but once on the street or in an unfamiliar place, it’s game on (though she is starting to respond to cues)??She has had several interactions with our cat. Mostly positive and it doesn’t seem like she wants to eat her! I feel like she must have been in a home with cats before and wants to just chase and play. ??She LOVES every person big or small and is a very gentle snack eater. She is 60 lbs so she plays rough but she SWEET ??She is a master napper and frequently puts herself in her crate at night if I stay up too late. She would probably do best in a home where she’d be the only dog with access to a yard.`---------------------------------`Day 2 with Cardi. What we have learned about Miss Lady in 2 days: She is housebroken, crate trained, loves to play with her toys, no food guarding. We are working on leash training as she is currently quite the puller. But we practiced in the yard and she got so much better!`--------------------------------------------Hi, I`m Cardi! I`m a brown and white pit mix who is spayed, microchipped, and ready for adoption. I was brought to the shelter as a stray, so my past is a mystery.
