My story

Elio: From Shy to ShineElio is a stunning 3-year-old Siberian Husky with piercing sky-blue eyes and a tender heart that has weathered more than its share of challenges.When he first arrived, Elio was shy and reserved, but since coming to the shelter, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s truly started to come out of his shell. His playful, happy side is shining through, especially when he sees humans he likes! He even knows how to sit, though he sometimes gets so excited that heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll jump up for attention.Elio walks mostly well on a leash but can get a bit eager when he spots another dog heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s interested in meeting. He appears to be potty trained and has started showing curiosity and friendliness toward other dogs. Because he has very sensitive ears, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll need a family that respects his boundaries and takes a gentle approach to petting and grooming.Elioâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s wish list is simple: a peaceful home filled with kindness, two tasty meals a day, some treats, a comfy bed, walks, and a yard where he can stretch his legs.Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s looking for a patient, understanding family who will give him the time and space he needs to continue blossoming into his best self.If you can offer love, a safe and caring home, and a little extra understanding, Elio is ready to begin his next chapter, a life filled with trust, playfulness, and lasting companionship.Email adopt@yoloshelter.org to meet Elio at our shelter in Woodland! All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
