My story

Lil' Lily just might be the dog of your dreams! This tiny girl is a 5-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix with a charming personality and a zest for life. Weighing 37 pounds, this small but spirited girl is joyful and always excited about life’s little moments. She has a soft brown coat, soulful eyes, and an adorable pittie smile that perfectly matches her loving demeanor. Lily is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is available for adoption out-of-state via transport. To make Lily part of your family, visit: www.doggedly.org/adoption-app. Lily's sad story begins in Houston, Texas where Lily and her sister, Daisy, were rescued after being abandoned by their owner. They were found on a highway access road, dehydrated and scared, almost being hit by numerous cars speeding down the access road. Thankfully, they trusted their rescuer and were brought to safety in a loving foster home where they have flourished into amazing little pups. Sadly for Lily, she tested positive for heartworms but has begun treatment and will make a full recovery! What more can we tell you about Lily besides that she's an amazing little pup ready to be your forever companion! Lily is a delightful mix of playful energy and calm companionship. She adores toys of all kinds, especially anything she can use to play fetch, tug, or chase with. Daily walks are a highlight for Lily, where she comes alive, exploring her surroundings and watching lizards and squirrels dart by. While she enjoys outdoor adventures, she loves running and chasing her buddies in the yard, showcasing her outgoing and social personality. At home, Lily is the perfect housemate. She’s calm after playtime and doesn’t chew on furniture, scratch doors, or bark excessively. She’s kennel-trained and does well when left alone. Lily thrives in a multi-dog environment, happily playing with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. She has a natural leadership quality—confident but not bossy—and her gentle demeanor makes her an excellent companion for humans and even the youngest family members. Lily would do amazingly well in a home with children or as a loyal cuddle bug for an individual or couple. She would also love to join you on your daily adventures. Lily is up for anything, from brisk walks to hikes (she's the perfect size for a hiking buddy!) trips to the beach or camping trips. This laid back girl would also love to join you at the pub or the dog park, then end the day curled up on the sofa with you watching tv! Lily is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and has completed heartworm treatment. She's ready to bring her love and joy to a forever home.
