My story

Meet Henri: The Lovable, Wrinkly Walrus Dog! Henri is a one-of-a-kind, 44 lb Sharpei-American Bully mix with a stunning merle coat, signature Sharpei wrinkles, and a puffy snout that make him look like an adorable walrus. Estimated to be around 10 months to a year old, Henri is a big-hearted goofball who’s as charming as he is unique. Henri is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, but is available for transport to the Pacific Northwest for adoption. To adopt Henri, visit the link below: www.doggedly.org/adoption-app. Henri's sad story begins in Houston, Texas where he narrowly escaped the euthanasia list by just a few hours thanks to his dedicated foster mama. In foster care, Henri has blossomed into a goofy, lovable guy that's been an absolute joy with his foster siblings. After coming out of the shelter with a URI, Henri recovered and had the chance to show his true personality. It’s easy to see why he was a shelter favorite among staff. With his quirky personality and fun-loving energy, Henri is always the life of the party. He has the typical drive and playful spirit of a bully breed, combined with an enthusiastic, gregarious nature. Henri is exceptionally social with other dogs and loves to wrestle, sunbathe, and roll around in soft grass with his friends. This happy, goofy guy is always up for a good time, and his joyful, “wiggle-butt” energy is contagious with just a touch of mischief that will keep you on your toes. Henri would do wonderfully in a home with older kids who can enjoy and handle his puppy energy and playful jumping while also engaging him in training rewards. He’s a fun-loving dog who could spend hours entertaining little ones with his goofy antics and boundless affection. While he can be a bit mouthy when he’s excited, he’s always gentle and eager to please, making him a fantastic playmate for anyone who appreciates a high-energy buddy. While Henri does have a high level of stamina for play, he also loves to chill and loves to lounge in his twin-sized bed, burrowing beneath the mattress pad. This boy is always up to funny shenanigans and has a huge personality. This smart boy learns quickly and would thrive in a home that provides him with mental stimulation through training and interactive play. He would love to be your constant companion on weekend day trips to the beach, hanging out at pubs or coffee shops, and is just an all-around rock star in public. Henri is already kennel trained, potty trained, and walks well on a leash, making him a well-mannered companion who’s ready for his forever home. Henri is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. If you’re looking for a snuggly, loyal, and endlessly entertaining companion, Henri is the perfect match!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Henri the Walrus, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
