My story

NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKES 7/2/2025:   Shih Tzus / DOB 3/13/2025 Dr. Frankenstein - male - 8.14 pounds Frau Blucher - female - 9.2 pounds Igor - male - 9.6 pounds Reason for intake:  We were contacted by a lady who needed help with three growing puppies.  They were unable to take care of the parents and the puppies and contacted us for help.  They've already had the father neutered and the mother will be next so this doesn't happen again, so PLEASE no negative comments.  They did take really good care the pups... they've had three sets of puppy shots and have been on a regular deworming schedule. We microchipped them on intake and sent them to our groomer to be spruced up.  They are all heading to our vet the week of July 7th for spaying and neutering and everything else they need.  Stay tuned.  (Note:  We will post their after-groom pics taken by our groomer in the comments... and they are SO CUTE! NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS:  Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed.  Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining.   In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason.  We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption.  In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered.  Please note…  we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.  Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.  We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”  ~ Gandhi Be responsible ~  Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life.  Blessings.
