My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I can go home today! My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles! Not only do I pull at heart strings, but I also pull on leash! I will need someone to help me with my leash manners.I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.My #Boroughbreak Buddy writes:My wife and I had the chance to take Kali out for a couple of hours around Central Park. From the beginning, he was very excited to go on a walk and greeted us very happily.Kali appears very easy to walk, aware of his surroundings, and constantly walks next to or between us. He also seems to be social towards other animals and humans as he tries to approach them during our walk.During our breaks, Kali gave us a lot of love and attention and he appreciated receiving it as well. Kali knows some basic commands and appears to be treat-motivated. On many occasions, we rewarded his good behavior with pets rather than treats and he seemed equally happy. He is a very smart dog and could learn a lot with time and the right environment. Kali is a pretty large dog that will require daily physical exercise. However, I tried to run alongside him and he simply walked fast so he might not be a runner's dog. Given his size and weight, it might be difficult for some people to resist his leash pulls (which he did once or twice over a 3.5 hours walk).Overall, our time with Kali was pure pleasure, he's a big mush that has so much love and potential. We truly hope that he will find the right forever home very soon. Primary Color: Tan Weight: 71 Age: 4yrs 7mths 2wks
