My story

Meet Petunia: Your New Favorite Furry Tornado of Love   Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a scarf that licks you? Wonder no more. Introducing Petunia — a 1.5-year-old terrier mix from Tijuana, Mexico, who is basically a snuggly, wiggly, slightly chaotic fashion accessory with feelings.   Petunia is packed with puppy energy, and we mean packed. She zips, zooms, and squiggles her way through the day, her joy as infectious as her zoomies. She's still learning that human ankles are not toys (yes, she may gently nip at your heels or hands when she's excited — we’re working on it!), but she’s incredibly smart and eager to please. She’s already mastered Level 4 dog puzzles — so if you thought you were the clever one in the house, prepare to be humbled.   Despite her bursts of energy, Petunia has a heart as big as her play drive. She loves to curl up with you for snuggles, often flopping herself across you like a small, warm, affectionate hurricane who just wants to be close. She’s like a squirmy worm who’s trying really hard to be a lap dog and succeeding in the most endearing way.   Petunia is:    Crate trained (sleeps through the night like a champ and won’t potty in her crate)    Mostly house trained (occasional accidents, but only if you snooze on getting her outside fast enough)    Dog friendly (would thrive with a playful pup sibling)    Kid friendly (older kids, 7+, who can handle puppy antics)    A chewing connoisseur (especially loves stick-shaped toys)    A little dramatic (might whine briefly when you leave, but quiets down quickly, especially with a cozy blanket over her crate)     Petunia would do best with a family who can keep up with her energy, laugh through the chaos, and continue reinforcing her training. In return, you’ll get non-stop entertainment, endless affection, and the privilege of watching this bright, goofy girl blossom into her best self.   Think you can keep up with this terrier tornado? Let’s make Petunia your new favorite adventure buddy.   Apply to meet her today — your ankles will never be bored again! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $575.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 3, 2025, 11:07 am
