My story

Young at Heart: Meet Midas – The Nap King with a Gentle Soul At 10 years young and 70 pounds of caramel-colored charm, Midas is the golden oldie your heart’s been waiting for. With soulful eyes and a laid-back spirit, he’s the kind of dog who instantly makes a house feel like home. Midas is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and possibly part throw pillow based on how committed he is to napping. He’s a low-maintenance gentleman who enjoys the finer things in life: car rides, walks, cozy beds, and the joy of doing absolutely nothing at all. He’s friendly with other dogs, has been around children, and we suspect he’d be indifferent to cats—he’s too focused on his next nap to worry about feline drama. While his hearing may be a little selective and he’s likely a bit nearsighted, Midas gets around just fine. That said, his vision may not always register people moving around him—so he can occasionally be a bit of a speed bump if you're not watching your step! His ideal home would have limited stairs, a few soft surfaces, and someone who appreciates a calm, easygoing companion. At night, Midas sleeps soundly right beside your bed—no crate needed, no fuss, no whining. He’s house-trained, quiet, and happy doing his own thing. While he enjoys being near his people, he’s also perfectly content relaxing on his own and doesn’t require constant attention. And while he may be in his golden years, Midas still has plenty of life, love, and leisurely adventures ahead. His gentle nature and steady presence make him the perfect fit for a peaceful, loving home. Think Midas might be your match? Apply today and give this golden boy the soft landing he deserves.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Midas Randolph, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
