My story

Meet Tulip, an affectionate and playful 3-year-old,10-pound terrier mix Tulip arrived in NYC on a rainy June Saturday morning. After making the long journey from our partners in Alabama, she continued the trek and braved the thunderstorms, NYC streets, and subway to finally settle in her new foster home. Ever since, Tulip has been the sweetest and loyal companion to her fosters despite having to adjust to many changes and unknowns of city life. This affectionate girl spends her days sunbathing, snuggling with her humans, and playing with her many toys. She truly adores people and never shies away from showing it. With her outgoing and friendly personality, Tulip is quick to ask for pets and give kisses to her foster family or new friends. Tulip has been a breeze in her foster homes with house/potty training. She is not a picky eater and enjoys both dry and wet food, and has a healthy appetite. She likes walking with her humans and trots proudly, her ears flopping happily the whole way. While Tulip adores her human companions, she's still working on overcoming reactivity toward other dogs with the support of her foster family. Tulip is seeking a patient adopter with no other pets who wants a loyal companion and doesn’t mind her quirks.  She would thrive in a suburban setting (backyard a plus!) or we’re confident she could learn to be a city girl with the right person. Tulip seems to do well around children and other animals seen on the street like birds.  Tulip can’t wait to meet you and find her person   Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.  To apply for Tulip, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Questions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2435017##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tulip, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
