My story

Newport and Roddy MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. $1100 for the pair The owner of a Pedigreed Ragdoll Cattery asked us to help find homes for some of her kitties. They are absolute, beautiful treasures. The first kitties to come to us were four kittens from three litters who had a beginning case of FIP and were already on the 12 week protocol of lifesaving medication called GS. Fortunately this illness had been caught right away and the kittens quickly recovered. After their last dose we decided to wait three months just to watch over them.We did final blood panels on each to confirm their perfect health. We are adopting these kittens in pairs according to their bonded preferences: Roddy with Newport and his sister, Princess, with Cowboy. All have had nonstop attention from their caretakers ( and friends ) and are very happy with human company. They are play-monsters, full of fun. They will likely become mellow, lazy Ragdolls later; right now, like most kittens, they play til they collapse and nap. Newport is the oldest kitten and he seems to have a touch of sadness about him. Or is he just a deep thinker, the father figure? Affectionate and loving to those he knows he will carefully check out strangers as he watches over his kitten friends. This gorgeous boy has the deepest blue eyes I have ever seen. Roddy, a month younger, our raccoon, is more of a free spirited guy out for fun all the time. He loves to roll on his back and entice you to pet him with his oh so soft white belly. As they mature the colors of all these kittens will darken Ragdolls need a stable, peaceful, home. These are not good kitties for a home with really noisy playing children, barking dogs, chaos or crisis. They need to be treasured, cosseted, kept safe and secure. They have lived around cats and would likely be fine with non dominant goodnatured kitties. Their magnificent floofy coats are quite easy to care for. Their long hair doesn’t have the cottony undercoat that a Persian’s has so it doesn’t matt easily. It is super soft and wonderful to touch. Grooming is generally fun, they like the attention of being brushed. Ragdolls are known for their mellow, gentle behavior. They are emotional cats and need a happy home. With their sensitive nature, they will know how your day went and comfort you through the hard times. They would like their humans to be home most of the time. Are you retired? Or do you work from home? That would be perfect. Some family will be so lucky to have their cuddly companionship and sweet love. Newport is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Newport (and Roddy) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Newport (and Roddy), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
