🐾⭐Pup Spotlight of the Day - Echo!⭐🐾Excuse me… could I have a moment of your heart?🩷 My name is Echo, and I’m trying so hard to be seen.I’m not the loudest dog here. I’m not the goofiest or the flashiest. I won’t jump or bark or push my way into your arms. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to be there. In fact, I dream of it every single night.I’m one year old. 48 pounds. A just-right size for my own soft dog bed, someone’s home, someone’s everything. I’m gentle, mellow, and quietly loving. I get along with other dogs. When you come to visit me, bring a squeaky toy (or even just the squeaker inside!) That sound makes my head tilt all funny like an owl. (You should see the humans laugh when I do it!) 🦉💛And I will press my little forward ears flat and lean into your leg just to feel close to someone.People say my eyes are soulful, beautiful....deep and golden. I hope they mean it, because I’ve been using them to search every face that walks by, hoping one will stop for me. I know I’m not the flashiest pup here, but maybe… maybe you’re not looking for flashy. Maybe you’re looking for calm. For loyal. For soft fur and soft eyes and a quiet friend who will love you forever. My greatest dream is a place to lay my head where I don't have to wonder if I'm wanted...and my own soft dog bed where I feel safe. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200.
