My story

Leo is a darling DMH orange tabby male born approximately 4/10/2025. Meet Tucker & Leo – Two Brave Souls, One Unbreakable Bond  Tucker and Leo have been through more in their short lives than most kittens ever should—but they found comfort and healing in each other, and now they’re ready to find a forever home together. Tucker was rescued in the most unexpected way—after a 30-mile commute, a Good Samaritan heard tiny cries coming from under the hood of their car. Miraculously, Tucker had survived the entire ride inside the engine compartment with no physical injuries. Though shaken and frightened, he quickly showed his sweet and affectionate nature once safe in loving arms. Leo was found alone and crying along a bike path by a previous adopter who happened to be in the right place at the right time. Scared but clearly relieved to be rescued, Leo was taken to the vet, who discovered an already-healing fracture in his left leg. While it doesn’t slow him down, he does have a unique way of sitting and a very subtle limp when he runs and plays. Their shared pasts have made these boys trauma bonded—they seek each other out for comfort, companionship, and confidence. Whether it’s curling up together for a nap or exploring new spaces side by side, they rely on each other in a way that only trauma survivors can. Now, Tucker and Leo are ready to trade survival for safety—and they need a forever family who can welcome both of them with open arms.
