My story

Meet Polly Pocket! Paralyzed in her back legs, Polly was heartbreakingly abandoned in the lobby of the Riverside County Department of Animal Services. The shelter reached out to us for help, and on July 1st, we welcomed her into the Frosted Faces family. Polly is approximately 8 years old and weighs 20 pounds. Despite the challenges she’s faced, she remains incredibly sweet, friendly, and full of spirit. We outfitted Polly with a custom set of wheels, and she surprised us all with how quickly she adapted—happily cooperating as we helped her in and out, then taking off like she’d been using them her whole life! To celebrate her newfound freedom, one of our amazing volunteers took her out for a special lunch. Polly was a perfect passenger in the car, politely enjoyed her hamburger patty, and charmed everyone at the restaurant. She soaked up all the love and attention from strangers who stopped to say hello. Polly’s story is a powerful reminder that resilience comes in all sizes, and love can change everything.
