My story

Meet Bandit – A Distinguished Gentleman with a Dash of Sass and a Love of Cheese Every pack has a legend, and Bandit is ours. At 10 years old, this spirited terrier mix is the wise-cracking, cheese-loving, squirrel-chasing gentleman you never knew you needed. He’s lived a decade of well-loved adventure, and now he's seeking a calm and respectful retirement home—no nonsense, no toddlers, and absolutely no baby gates where little hands can poke through, thank you very much. Personality and Preferences Bandit’s motto? “You don’t choose me—I choose you.” This guy isn’t here to perform tricks or be your fuzzy puppet. You earn his trust, and once you do, he’s loyal and affectionate—especially if you're a man and have cheese. (Seriously, he'll do anything for cheese.) He enjoys the company of dogs he knows but prefers to take the lead—he’s got a bit of a leadership streak. When it comes to people, he warms up at his own pace. He doesn’t play fetch with humans (how undignified), but he might grace you with a toy toss now and then. Favorite Activities - Patrolling the yard like a squirrel security guard - Speed racing just for the joy of it - Perching like a prince on the back of your couch - Burrowing into a blanket cave for some well-earned rest Important Notes Bandit is housebroken and has impeccable recall—especially if cheese is involved. He’s crate-trained, but prefers to sleep under a pile of blankets like a true terrier burrito. He’s a vocal watchdog, so apartment living won’t be his style. And while he’s a great communicator (his body language is crystal clear), Bandit will snap if pushed beyond his comfort zone. That’s why he needs an adult-only home with someone who reads dogs well and respects his boundaries. Included Veterinary Care - Visit to veterinarian for health certificate - Up to date on vaccinations for his age - Neutered - Microchipped - Heartworm preventative - Flea and tick preventative - Worm/parasite treatments Bandit isn’t looking for a project—he’s looking for a partner who gets him. A life of naps, window gazing, bunny patrol, and exactly zero chaos. If you’re a dog-savvy soul with a sense of humor, a calm household, and a love of small dogs with big personalities, Bandit might just be your guy.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bandit, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
