Meet Gus: A Gentle Soul Looking for His Second Chance 💛🐾 Gus is an 8-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a heart as tender as his tiny paws. Rescued from a puppy mill, Gus is just beginning to learn what it means to be a dog- to feel grass under his feet, to be safe, and maybe one day, to wag his tail without fear. He’s a shy little guy who's still figuring out this big, beautiful world. Loud noises, sudden movements, and new experiences can be scary, but with the right kind of love and patience, Gus is slowly discovering that life can be good. Gus absolutely needs another calm, confident dog in the home to help show him the ropes and encourage him to come out of his shell. He thrives in a peaceful environment with a predictable routine: no hustle, no bustle, just kindness and calm. Because Gus is still getting used to freedom, a secure, fenced-in yard is a must to keep him safe as he explores at his own pace. This little gentleman may be a bit older, but he’s got so much love to give, he’s just waiting for the right heart to help him heal.
