Grape Juice

My story

Sweet, loving, curious Grape Juice surprised us! She came to us as a former community cat and entered our barn cat program. But she decided that people seemed more than OK, and was so friendly that we sent her to a foster home. She’s still adjusting and is therefore sometimes nervous and jumpy, but overall, she’s finding that life in a home is pretty darn sweet! She has discovered that when she rubs up against her fosters’ legs, they will pet her and rub her head. Wow! Who knew that pets from people could be so great?? Sometimes she’ll even give you some head butts and little kisses to express her delight. She lost an eye to an infection, but she’s all healed now and the loss doesn’t affect her at all. If anything, she looks like she’s always winking at you. She enjoys a rousing play session with a ribbon or other string toy. She has also learned that canned cat food can come with GRAVY!! She sure does love that! Grape Juice would do best in a quieter home without small kids. We haven’t seen her with dogs. She was neutral about the other cats who were in the barn program with her. Because she lived outdoors at one time, she does seem to enjoy it, so a home that gives her safe access to the outdoors via a catio or other form of protective enclosure would be ideal. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
