April Joy

My story

April Joy is a 5-year-old, 14-pound Shih Tzu mix with a gentle heart and a sweet spirit that’s impossible to resist. She came to Camo Rescue after her previous owner could no longer care for her and her son—and while the transition has been a big one, April has handled it with grace. Since arriving, April Joy has been an absolute angel. She’s a little shy at first but warms up quickly. April gets along well with other dogs her size and enjoys having canine company and even does well with parrots. She isn’t fond of cats though. She is house trained and even knows some commands (sit, lay down, stay and no). Whether she joins a home with dog siblings, human siblings, or becomes someone’s one-and-only, April Joy is the kind of dog who will bloom with love. She’s happy in just about any setting—as long as she’s surrounded by kindness and care. Adoption fee is: $375 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022
