My story

Meet Anakin — don’t worry, he’s nothing like Darth Vader. This guy’s all love, no Dark Side. Anakin is a sweet, gentle soul whose favorite place in the galaxy is right next to his person, soaking up all the pets he can get. He’s currently on a mission to reclaim his summer-ready figure (turns out the Force wasn’t strong enough to resist a few extra snacks over the years), but he’s tackling his wellness journey with good spirits and wagging tail. While the transition into shelter life has been tough on him, Anakin has handled it with grace and a constant smile. He’s still eager to meet new friends, enjoys short strolls through the neighborhood, and absolutely lives for a dip in the nearby river — a perfect Jedi cooldown. We haven’t introduced Anakin to other dogs just yet as we’re giving him time to decompress, but we’ll update his profile as we learn more. According to his previous family, Anakin is house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on leash. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with a heart of gold, Anakin is ready to join your rebel alliance.
