My story

Please contact Marilyn at 925-788-4397&#226&#128&#172 to meet Taffida! Taffida - Estimated to be 1 to 2 years old  This little lady is more than just a beautiful face and exquisite physique. She is as resilient as they come. She was trapped along with her four kittens whom she had been hunting to feed while she starved because the neighbors refused to feed her. She weighed just 5 pounds when she was trapped and as it turned out she was not feral as the neighbors had said but was as sweet as could be. Unfortunately, shortly after being rescued and living with her foster mom, her health declined rapidly and she was hospitalized where she quickly became everyone's favorite patient. She was diagnosed with FIP, formerly a guaranteed fatal disease, but fortunately her foster tracked down treatment for her. So not only was she starving, she had also been dying, all while taking wonderful care of her babies who she protected fiercely and all of which were healthy weights. She went through 90 days of treatment, receiving injections like a champ, and has now been medically cleared and healthy for 7 months where she has gained back her weight and then some :)  She loves love and if given the option would be with her person all day every day. She sleeps with her foster mom every night and is a wonderful co-sleeper. You may be gently woken in the middle of the night by her purrs as she happily admires you while you sleep. Admittedly this was slightly unsettling at first but is now endearing. She loves to play and does so independently with toys or chasing her tail. The window seat is her favorite spot in the house and she loves the catio her foster mom has since she was an outdoor kitty prior to being rescued. She would be content as an only cat but can also co-exist with others as long as they are not to obtrusive but she lets her boundaries be known.  Special features: She makes literally the cutest noises, especially when you pick her up and she protests which only makes it happen more often. She does a little hop jump into legs when she wants to be pet. Rather then just rubbing against her foster mom's leg, she rears up on her hind legs and throws her body against her foster mom's legs. It is the cutest.  Don't forget to ask about the story of how she fought off sedation hilariously at the hospital that had everyone impressed and laughing.  If you are interested in meeting this lovely lady, please contact Marilyn at marileealong@comcast.net.  Click here to watch a video of Taffida.July 2, 2025, 2:11 am
