My story

🎵 Hi there! I’m Chopper, up-and-coming bark-star! 🎵 I’m Chopper, but my fans refer to me as the shelter bark-star (a doggo rockstar) 😎 At just 3 years old, my playlist is already quite impressive 🤘 I’m an athletic red and white Pit Bull mix who weighs 74 lbs (pure muscle 💪). I’ve also got the brains, charisma, and striking good looks! I turn heads wherever I go — not just for my cool swagger, but for my one of kind million-dollar smile. Even with my favorite toy or ball in my mouth, this goofy grin will melt your heart 😘 On a typical day you’ll find me waiting patiently in my kennel ready to share some sunshine with an adoring volunteer fan. I’m easy to take in and out of my kennel. I’m a strong boy and can sometimes pull on walks but when reminded to slow down, I listen well and follow their lead. When I get to run freely in the yards, I’ve got one thing on my mind — TOYS! ⚽ I’m all for a fun game of catch, training with treats, and even playing independently. Toys and I go together like PB & J! I soak up the sunshine with a toy in my mouth, I get zoomies with a toy in my mouth, and even use the bathroom with a toy in a mouth — *hold your applause* — quite impressive right? 👨‍🎤 This supawstar isn’t done yet! As an encore I know “sit,” “down,” and “drop it.” I’m treat- and toy-motivated and LOVE getting pets and back scratches too. 🥰 I truly enjoy the company of my volunteer buddies and I know they think I’m pawsome too. The cherry on top of a pawfect day is being able to run the fence line with some fellow shelter doggos. I think they’re pretty impressed by my ball chasing skills! As for meeting any doggo bandmates in my future home, my staff friends will properly introduce us to see if we are comfortable with one another. 🐕🐾 So, what do you say? Are you ready to give this bark-star his very own stage? 🎸 Ready to meet your future BFF? A loyal companion who is equal parts awesome, playful, intelligent, entertaining and loving, and is guaranteed to put a big smile on your face? Whether we’re going for a walk, playing fetch in the backyard, or just relaxing at home I’ll be there to add tail-wagging energy to your day! 🌟 ## See video of Chopper at the end of the photo gallery! ## TVAR.org/find-your-pet-adopt/dogs-puppies/ Chopper’s Shelter ID# is 85764. He’s an approximately 3-year-old, white and red, Pit Bull mix. He currently weighs 74 lbs. He has already been vaccinated and will be neutered and microchipped before going to his new home. Chopper is located in kennel D-4. His adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). The cost of his neuter surgery will be sponsored. ** Age shown is an estimate only ** THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING If you are interested, please call the East County Animal Shelter at 925-803-7040 to see if this dog is still available.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chopper - ECAS, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
