My story

Meet Dory, a 1 y.o. brave and strong female kitty!Dory has already been through more than most cats ever will. She came to us after being struck by a car, arriving in rough shape and understandably shaken. Thanks to medical care, time, and her incredible strength, Dory has made a great recovery and now she’s ready for the next chapter of her journey.Dory is still adjusting to life around people so she startles easily and needs a lot of time, patience, and calm to truly feel safe. She`s not the kind of cat who will warm up overnight, but with a gentle environment and someone willing to go at her pace, she has the potential to blossom. She’s looking for a quiet home, ideally with someone experienced with shy or fearful cats, where she can finally relax and just be. Dory may never be a lap cat, but she is a survivor, and she deserves a soft place to land and a safe space to call her own.Dory came to us after being struck by a car. She arrived injured and in poor condition, but thanks to the dedication of our veterinary and care team and her own incredible resilience, she has made an amazing recovery. Now Dory is doing well! However, due to the nature of her injuries, it is possible that some health issues related to the accident may arise later in life. Because she came to us as a stray, Dory`s history with cats, dogs, and kids is unknown, but our Adoption Team would love to give you the information you need for slow introductions to any resident pets and younger friends.
