My story

Meet besties MAKEDA and ROSALIE! Makeda is a super soft, adult black beauty with a tiny white patch on her chest, and Rosalie is a gorgeous, short haired adult brown tabby. Makeda is friendly to humans and other cats and will follow you around with soft meows asking for treats or attention. She loves to sleep on the bed with you or curled up with Rosalie. Rosalie is quite the athlete and will show off her giant jumps while playing with a wand toy (a favorite for both kitties). She will happily devour Churu from your hand and will approach you for treats. Both girls love watching birds and squirrels out the window (Rosalie makes the best chirping sounds). Makeda and Rosalie are shy at first and may take a few weeks to warm up. Makeda is very curious, social, and affectionate, although she’d prefer to have her paws firmly on the floor (she doesn’t enjoy being picked up). Rosalie is a sweetie who is more cautious than Makeda. She prefers being nearby and observing from up high when she’s not busy playing or hiding spring toys under the sofa. Rosalie isn’t a fan of being approached, but when she’s feeling safe and relaxed, she enjoys getting pets and sharing her purrs. It would be good to keep an eye on Makeda and Rosalie around open doors, as they aren’t opposed to venturing out to see what’s on the other side. Makeda and Rosalie are a fun, spunky pair who will provide lots of joy, good company, and entertainment! MAKEDA and ROSALIE have been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and are negative for FeLV and FIV. Their adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. ROSALIE has a permanently cloudy left eye, but it doesn't affect her vision and she is in excellent health. To meet Makeda and Rosalie in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $280 adoption fee for the pair allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID#2401-C0005 and 2401-C0009 DOB: MAKEDA 2/23/23 (est) and ROSALIE 11/27/22 (est) MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER AS A BONDED PAIR BEST AS ONLY CATS IN THE HOUSEHOLD AFRAID OF DOGS QUIET HOME, NO YOUNG CHILDRENJuly 3, 2025, 12:34 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Makeda, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
