My story

Meet Piper! She's a smart, curious young girl, seeking love and attention from anyone willing to offer it to her. Within the first week of her foster parents finding her, she was taken with them on vacation. She's traveled very well and has done a great job in the car. She walks well on the leash as if it comes naturally, and does well with a harness. She is not overly energetic, but does seem eager to play. She does good with other dogs her size or bigger, but has never met a cat and also does not seem to like smaller dogs, so we are not sure about her going into a home with a cat or small dog. She makes a good travel buddy though, and should be able to keep up on most adventures! She followed her foster parent to her home, and that's how they got her, so she's always been pretty friendly towards people. ***************PLEASE READ THIS FOR NEXT STEPS**************** COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please note that our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. We are USDA certified, and WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, Microchip, heartworm tested, Mississippi Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.
